FRIDAY 27 OCTOBER – THE JERVIS BAY SWIM CLASSIC – White Sands Park Huskisson

12:00pm – 2:30pm – Registration Open – White Sands Park, Huskisson
Athletes collect their race number/goodie bag and will be required to produce photographic identification when registering.

All athletes competing in the Long Course Weekend category and swim legs must be registered by 2:30pm.

Athletes competing in bike and run legs may register also.

2:45pm – Swim Start Pen Closes
All athletes must move into the start pen in preparation for the safety briefing and race start. Any athlete not in the pen by 2:45pm will not be allowed to race.

Long Course Weekend competitors will start at the front of the swim pen.

The LCW athletes will start first followed by the remaining 3.8km swimmers who are standing behind them followed by the 1.9km swim.

The 1.5km swim and 750m swim will follow 5 minutes later.

Athletes will swim to the coloured swim buoys which match their swim caps and starting board. For example, the 1.5km swim will have yellow swim caps, start at the yellow starting board and swim to the yellow swim buoys. All courses are of triangular shape and athletes keep their coloured swim buoys on their left.

  • The 3.8km swim is four laps of the Orange swim buoys
  • The 1.9km is two laps of the Orange swim buoys
  • The 1.5km swim is two laps of the Green Swim Buoys
  • The 750m swim is one lap of the Green swim buoys

2:50pm – Swim Briefing 
All athletes must attend the pre-race safety briefing held in the Starting Pen.

3:00pm – THE JERVIS BAY SWIM CLASSIC 3.8KM AND 1.9KM
Athletes competing in the LCW, 3.8km and 1.9km swim will enter the water and begin on the starters hooter.

3:05pm – THE JERVIS BAY SWIM CLASSIC 1.5KM AND 750M
Athletes competing in the LCW, 1.5km and 750M swim will enter the water and begin on the starters hooter.

4:10pm – Second Lap Cut Off Time for 3.8km swim
The cut off time for the first lap.

5:20pm – Race Cut Off Time 
The cut off time for the race.

5:30pm onwards – Presentations
After the swim athletes are encouraged to hang around event central. Here we will announce the top 3 fastest swim times from each distance and the top 10 male and female athletes competing in the LCW section of the event.

SATURDAY 28 OCTOBER – THE RIVER RIDE CYCLE CLASSIC – University of Wollongong, Shoalhaven Campus

Event Registration – University of Wollongong, Shoalhaven Campus (George Evans Rd, West Nowra NSW 2541)

6:00am – 7:00am – Registration 180km riders
180km riders must register between these times, unless they have already registered on Friday.

6:30am – 8:00am – Registration 90km riders 
90km riders must register between these times, unless they have already registered on Friday.

7:45am – 8:45am – Registration 40 and 20km Riders
40km and 20km riders must register between these times, unless they have already registered on Friday.

Event Start Times

7:20am – Race briefing – 180km Course – 6hr+ Riders

7:30am – FIRST BIKE WAVE DEPARTS The first waves of the 180km riders leave in 15 minute intervals. This wave is for athletes who expect to ride over 6 hours for the ride.
Whilst there is a self-serve drink station on course, athletes are expected to start the race with at least two full bottles on their bike and food for the journey. See course map for aid station locations.

7:35am – Race briefing – LCW & 180km Riders

7:45am – LCW & 180KM WAVE DEPARTS 
The top 20 Long Course Weekend athletes from the swim will start in reverse order down a time-trial style ramp one minute apart. After the 20th place athlete has left the remaining LCW athletes and the remaining 180km riders begin in waves.

8:20am – Race briefing – 90km Riders

8:30am – 90KM WAVE 
Athletes for the 90km route will start leaving in 5 minute waves.

9:20am – Race briefing – 40km & 20km Riders

9:30am – 40KM and 20KM WAVE
40km and 20km athletes will begin the out and back course.

10:15am – Cut-off time for the first lap of 180km (2 ½ hours)
This cut-off is the same for all athletes riding the 180km route.

1:15pmCut-off time for the second lap of 180km course (5 ½ hours)
This cut-off is the same for all athletes riding the 180km route.

4:45pm – Cut Off and finish time for 180km ride (9 hours)
This cut-off is the same for all athletes riding the 180km route.

4:00pm to 6:30pm – Huskisson Run Festival Registration (at run finish area White Sands Park, Huskisson)
Athletes taking part in tomorrow’s run festival can register at the LCW expo and finish line area between 4:00pm and 6:30pm.

 

SUNDAY 29 OCTOBER – THE HUSKISSON RUN FESTIVAL – White Sands Park Huskisson

6:00am – Registration Opens for LCW & Marathon runners
Athletes who have not registered the day prior collect their race number/goodie bag and will be required to produce photographic identification when registering.

7:00am – Registration Closes – LCW & Marathon runners

7:15am – Registration Opens – Half Marathon runners
Athletes who have not registered the day prior collect their race number/goodie bag and will be required to produce photographic identification when registering.

7:20am – Race briefing – LCW & Marathon
Briefing to be held at start line on Bowen St

7:30am – RACE START – LCW & MARATHON RUNNERS
Athletes will begin the Marathon at 7:30am. The Top 20 athletes, male and female, from the LCW division, will start at the front of the race followed by the remaining LCW athletes and then the marathon runners. The course will be 4 laps and runners are to keep to the right at all times.

8:00am – Registration Closes – Half Marathon runners

8:15am – Registration Opens – 10km & 5km Runners
Athletes who have not registered the day prior collect their race number/goodie bag and will be required to produce photographic identification when registering.

8:35am – Race briefing – Half Marathon runners
Briefing to be held at start line on Bowen St.

8:45am – RACE START – HALF MARATHON RUNNERS
The course will be 2 laps and runners are to stay on the right at all times.

9:15am – Registration Closes – 10km & 5km runners

9:20am – Race briefing – 10km runners
Briefing to be held at start line on Bowen St.

9:30am RACE START – 10KM RUNNERS
The course will be 1 lap and runners are to stay on the right at all times.

9:35am – Race briefing – 5km runners
Briefing to be held at start line on Bowen St.

9:45am – RACE START – 5KM RUNNERS
The course will be 1 lap and runners are to stay on the right at all times.

The cut off time for MARATHON athletes is 1:30pm (6hours)

2:00pm – LCW Presentation 
LCW finishers will be welcomed into the finish line and presented with their 4th medals dressed in their exclusive polo shirts.

The Top 3 Male and Female athletes of the LCW division will be presented to the athletes on stage under the finish arch for the traditional spraying of champagne.
